The City of Garland Cultural Arts Department is launching a Volunteer Usher Program—a growing team of volunteers who support live performances, events, and programs at our local arts venues.
This is more than just volunteering; it's about building a community of people who enjoy theater, music, and the arts while helping create welcoming, memorable experiences for our guests.
What Ushers Do:
Volunteer ushers may assist with:
- Greeting and welcoming guests
- Scanning tickets or assisting with seating
- Providing general event support and directions
- Helping create a positive and organized event experience
How This Program Works:
This is a recurring volunteer opportunity, not a one-time event.
By signing up, you are:
- Joining the Cultural Arts volunteer pool
- Opting in to receive notifications about upcoming events
- Able to choose events that fit your schedule
- Potentially contacted for last-minute opportunities if help is needed
There is no obligation to attend every event. You participate when you're available.
