West Garland Library - Teen Volunteer - Intl. Friendship Day Bracelet Making

Description

Teen volunteers will help library staff keep during our International Friendship Day Bracelet Making activity! There are multiple shifts to choose from for this day. Please choose only one! 

  • 12 - 2:30 p.m.
  • 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. 
  • 4:30 - 7 p.m.

All volunteers need to be attentive and engaging to families with duties include, but not limited to:

  • Helping children and families make bracelets
  • Working on additional projects during "slow times" 
  • Set up/Clean up assistance 

This volunteer opportunity is for:

  • Ages 12 - 17 only.
  • Individual volunteers and NOT for groups. For questions about group volunteering, please contact the Site Supervisor.
  • 2  hour shifts. Longer shifts need to be preapproved by Site Supervisor. Volunteers will sign in for their shift at the Children's Desk.

➡️If you cannot attend your volunteer shift, please cancel it online or call us at 972-205-2586 to let us know. If you have three no-call no-show occurrences with the Garland libraries, we will delete your future shifts and you will no longer be permitted to volunteer at any of the library branches.

➡️PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept volunteers that are fulfilling court-mandated service hours.
